Starbucks enters Colombia to compete with local coffee
Starbucks opened the first coffee chain in Bogota, Colombia.
According to a report by Taiwan's "China Broadcasting Network" on July 17, Starbucks of the United States opened the first "Starbucks Coffee chain" in Bogota, Colombia, on the 17th to compete with Colombian local companies.
The Starbucks coffee chain is a three-story building, and Starbucks plans to open 50 Starbucks coffee stores in Colombia over the next five years.
Colombia is one of the largest coffee producers in the world. Colombians are proud of Colombian coffee and are not easy to accept foreign coffee. So it is hard to say whether Starbucks will be able to open the market in Colombia.
