The forced 381 enterprises have an annual output value of more than 2 billion. In 2012, when China's tea exports fell 6.08 per cent year on year and Fujian Province's tea exports dropped 18.6 per cent over the same period last year, the Fuding white tea industry bucked the trend. In terms of foreign trade sales revenue, there was a strong rise of 77 per cent year-on-year, with white tea exports reaching 3000 tons in 2012. Some are involved in the deep processing of white tea.
