Lattes and cappuccinos actually belong to the category of milk coffee, but they constitute two different coffee products in proportion.
A typical latte is made with 70 per cent milk, 20 per cent foam and 10 per cent coffee, while cappuccino is 1:1:1 and contains more liquid coffee than lattes.
And when the milk is heated, lactose breaks down into monosaccharides that are easily perceived by the taste, such as glucose, which makes lattes sweeter in taste. So cappuccino is more bitter than latte in taste.
