Apaneca-Ilamatepec mountain area

Apaneca-Ilamatepec Mountains, located in the west of El Salvador, 500-2300 meters above sea level. Volcanic activity is frequent here, but it still produces a lot of coffee that has won prizes in competitions. The most recent eruption of Mount Santa Ana in 2005 has had a huge impact on its coffee production over the years. This is the largest producing area in El Salvador and may also be the first to grow coffee.

Alotepec-Metapan mountain area

The Alotepec-Metapan Mountains, located in the north of El Salvador, with an elevation of 1000-2000m, is the wettest area in El Salvador, with an average rainfall of 1/3 more than other producing areas. This area is adjacent to Honduras and Guatemala.

■ varieties: 30% bourbon, 50% Pacas, 15% Pacamara, 5% other varieties

■ flavor: excellent aroma, floral flavor, with chocolate, citrus and special sour caramel sweet to neutralize, with a clear fruit flavor.
