This issue of Huilan Water Bean comes from the Eastern Coffee Cooperative of Antioquia, Colombia (Cooperativa de Caficultures del Occidente de Antioquia), which has worked with us for more than 5 years and has been a stable supplier for many years. The person in charge of the cooperative is a simple and honest uncle, every time he goes to the manor, he will pick sweet oranges for us to eat. The uncle grows fruit with a refreshing and clean flavor, stable production and supply, and excellent quality.
The Eastern Coffee Cooperative in Antioquia, Colombia, has both Fairtrade and C.A.F.E Practices certification, and Fairtrade certification is designed to form a new approach to economy and trade, giving priority to producers from an ethical standpoint.
C.A.F.E. (= Coffee and Farmers' Rights) practice is a private standard established by Starbucks and needs to meet some "zero tolerance" standards (such as minimum wage, non-child labour, traceability) that must be followed in order to be part of this practice plan.
