It removes 99% of caffeine from coffee beans without the use of chemical solvents and is suitable for people who want coffee but cannot consume caffeine at some stages.
Stage 1: Extraction of Caused-Free Solution
First, a large number of coffee beans are washed, soaked, and soluble substances (including caffeine) are soaked out.
After the coffee beans are removed, the solution is filtered through an activated carbon filter to remove caffeine and obtain a caffeine-free solution. This process is called GCE (Green Coffee Extraction).
Stage 2: Decaffeination
Pour fresh green coffee beans (pre-brewed) into the caine-free solution filled with the first stage of extraction. Caffeine dissolves from the new coffee beans over time, temperature and flow rate, and the soluble substances in the decaffeinated solution reach equilibrium. The solution in the container passes through a special activated carbon filtration system to remove 99.9% of the caffeine (process takes 8-10 hours)
Stage 3: Remove the coffee beans
Remove the coffee beans and dry them (sun dry or oven dry). Bake before use.
Overview: Swiss water washing method, compared with "direct solvent method (using methylene chloride or ethyl acetate to dissolve caffeine)" and "carbon dioxide treatment method", does not require the use of chemical solvents, and the soaked solution can be reused in different batches of treatment procedures.
The disadvantage is that the production cost is much more expensive than the above two solvent methods, and the extracted caffeine is directly filtered out and cannot be used for other commercial purposes.
