Characteristics of Rwandan Coffee
The taste of Rwandan coffee is smooth and creamy, with floral aromas of Ethiopian coffee and sour taste of Kenyan coffee in the finish. The nose displays aromas of lemon and orange, with floral aromas, complemented by sweet citrus flavours and a caramel finish. The sweetness of good Rwandan coffee is reminiscent of caramel sugar and spicy notes of cinnamon, cloves, spices and roses. These characteristics are very similar to other East African coffee, such as coffee from Kenya and Zimbabwe.
