Boma washing station

The Boma washing station is part of the Kipkellion cooperative and is surrounded by the fertile soil of the tea garden in Kaitiaocho. Kaitiaocho was first owned by white settlers in the colonial era, when tea and coffee plantations were set up.

The Boma washing station has about 600 members, most of whom are women. Coffee farmers pay a lot of painstaking efforts in the process of picking. Ripe cherries are picked by hand and sent to Boma washing station. Then dry the coffee on a high bed with a net and put it in a box to make sure you have a rest.
