The largest exporter of coffee in Yunnan

According to the Coffee Association of Yunnan Province, South Korea imports 2000 tons of coffee annually from Yunnan, making it the largest exporter of Yunnan coffee. Yunnan Province coffee planting area of more than 800,000 mu, annual output of more than 60,000 tons, accounting for 98% of the total, products sold to the United States, South Korea, Southeast Asia and other 31 countries and regions, of which South Korea with its market and tariff advantages, Yunnan coffee has become the largest exporter. Yunnan coffee is affected by unique geographical environment and climatic factors, and the production of Arabica coffee is widely popular in the market. In 2011, the export volume exceeded US $100 million, becoming another important export product of Yunnan Province after tobacco, vegetables and wild fungi. At present, Yunnan has included the coffee industry into the characteristic industry of key development. It is estimated that by 2020, the coffee planting area will reach 1.5 million mu, the annual output of coffee beans will reach 200,000 tons, the total output value will be more than 34 billion yuan, and the export foreign exchange will be more than 10 billion US dollars.
