Consumer Reports magazine has selected the top ten coffee flavors. Gloria Jean's Coffees 'Colombia Supremo Medium Roast and Newman 's Own's Colombia Organics Colombian Especial Medium Roast won first and second place respectively.

Consumer Reports 'panel of tasters tasted and rated more than 1,000 cups of coffee from 23 products, according to PR Newswire.

"The new champion, Colombia Premium, has richer flavors and a balance of flavors," said Gayle Williams, associate health editor of the magazine. Our experts found it to be stronger than other coffee flavors we tasted. And it's not the most expensive."

Gloria Jean's Coffees and Newman 's Own, ranked first and second, are priced at about $13 a pound. If you prefer decaf coffee, New England Coffee Decaffeinated Colombian, ranked fourth, may be better. The coffee costs about $9 a pound.

Walmart's Great Value 100 percent medium roast coffee score is very close to starbucks, says the guide.

In terms of taste, Colombia coffee is the most common coffee variety, with a very rich flavor, attractive aroma and lingering aftertaste.
