Uniquely designed Cafe Cafe in Japan

Location: Toyama, Japan

This is a project of a coffee shop in Toyama, Japan, designed by Kengo Kuma. The coffee shop is located in a field with 197 square meters of space almost floating on the ground. The indoor dining space is wrapped in a box surrounded by glass, and the outdoor is surrounded by a staggered arrangement system of wood strips. The structure of the coffee shop is visually inverted, showing a continuous layer on the roof and a compact supporting structure connected to the base below.
