Roba Farm

Gedeb is a nest in Gedeo, with many 2-hectare farms. These are actually the backyards of small Gedeo coffee farmers. However, the Roba family farm in gedebb is an exception. Roba Farm is located in Gotiti Kebele and covers an area of 30 hectares.

Mr. Roba Deyaso and Mrs. Beratu Gibicho are the founders of Roba Farm. Their three sons, Kefyalew, Bekele and Tesfaye Roba, are today's operations managers. All three of them have studied forestry, geography, population, environmental development and management. This is a huge advantage for the Roba family.

On Roba Farm, you can see trees, several houses where workers live, and a laundry room. This washing station is called Banko Gotiti washing station. All the harvested coffee is processed here. The Banco and Laku rivers flow through Roba Farm.

The Roba brothers are enthusiastic believers in the local agroforestry management. They know that biodiversity is conducive to the sustainable development of farms and the environment. Coffee trees are surrounded and sheltered by fake bananas, cereals and fruit crops.

Coffee trees grow at heights of 1900-2700 meters, which are one of the key factors in the quality of Roba farms. The farm also has enough Rain Water from June to September, which is the rainy season. The temperature is between 21 °C and 29 °C during the day and between 9.8 °C and 17 °C at night.
